Stop! Dont do it. Please, Im begging you - dont buy another marketing e-book. Theyre everywhere, spreading over the Internet like wildfire, all of the information old before it gets to your inbox. If it were so exclusive, why
is it available for $1.99 on Ebay two weeks after you ordered it for $47.00?
The Ebay marketer assures us the info is new, better, faster!! If you feel duped, youre not alone. A quick examination of information e-books on Ebay reveals over 13,000 titles for auction. Are you kidding me? I just hope you paid $1.99 and not $47.00!
In order for any new marketing idea to work, there must be some aspect of exclusivity to it, so the seller can beat his competitor to the market place.
One of the most appealing aspects of e-books is that they are so readily replicable; this very nature of the medium disallows the uniqueness that is required for them to work in the first place. By the time you find the secret techniques, so have two million other Internet marketers. The huge success of the marketer makes the information totally useless. Its like one giant Ponzi scheme where you are always the last member to join the new marketing club.
The only way to stop this madness is for you and me right now to take a vow of personal E-book prohibition. So here goes:
I your name solemnly swear to never buy another marketing e-book, no matter how enticing the deliberately misleading advertising is. I promise not be taken in by the testimonials by the sellers cousin, printed right there in black in white for all to see, as proof of the absolute sincerity with which this product is offered. I also promise not be taken in by the warmed-over spamming techniques that are now passed off as creative marketing.
There. Now dont you feel better already? I know it is going to be hard in the beginning. Just take each day, one day at a time, and Im sure you will pull through. If you do feel the overwhelming urge to open Paypal in your browser and hit the send money icon, just take a moment and think of your children. What kind of Internet do you want to leave for them? Hopefully, one free from Internet marketers filling their inboxes and bidding up Adsense words to insane heights. I know you can do it. A few deep breaths... there you are. Congratulations! You have passed the first of many trying days. Please stay strong for all of us.
